Our trip to Hawaii was bitter sweet. We went to celebrate the life of Samuel E. Lindley, Renda’s father. Accolades flowed and the ceremonies were memorable. We had some fun too. All five Lindley sisters were there, the first complete reunion in many years. We also enjoyed time with Ruth and many Wong clan relatives. And of course Hawaii . . .

Thursday, December 25th, 2003Renda and I celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary with a trip to Italy. We flew to Rome and after a few days taking in the sights, sounds, food, and wine. We traveled by train to Florence where we enjoyed more museums, churches, and people. We then rented a car and drove through Tuscany making our base in Sienna and touring the countryside. Fabulous!
